Joel Embiid is a Cameroonian professional basketball player 

Embiid is the oldest of three brothers and sisters. Thomas Embiid and Christine Embiid have a son and a daughter.

Embiid went on to play basketball at The Rock School, a Christian academy in Florida.

Embiid went on to play basketball at the University of Kansas, where he resumed his career.

He was also voted Defensive Player of the Year in the Big 12 and was chosen to the second-team All-Big 12 team.

Embiid's decision to enter the draught meant he would miss the last three years of his college career.

Due to a foot injury, Embiid's debut in the NBA was postponed for two seasons.

He was supposed to make his debut in the 2015-16 season, but due to his sluggish recovery, he was unable to do so.

He did not participate in the 2017 FIBA Afro Basket tournament, which was held in the Republic of Congo.
