Antetokounmpo began his basketball career with the Filathlitikos youth teams in Athens, where he was born and raised.

He began his career with the club's senior team before being taken 15th overall in the 2013 NBA draught by the Bucks.

He received the Most Improved Player award in 2017.

Antetokounmpo has been named to six All-Star teams, including captaining the team in 2019 and 2020.

In 2019 and 2020, Antetokounmpo earned consecutive NBA Most Valuable Player Awards.

Only two players in NBA history, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and LeBron James, have won two MVPs before turning 26.

He was also elected NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2020, in addition to his MVP trophy.

After Michael Jordan (1988) and Hakeem Olajuwon (1994), he is the third player to win both trophies in the same season.

Antetokounmpo was awarded Finals MVP in 2021 after leading the Bucks to their first NBA title since 1971.

In the same year, he was named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team as one of the league's greatest players of all time.
