I think you have a bias towards starting more slowly in the 400m. Van niekerk ran the first 200 extremely quickly for his world record (20.4) . Even pacing may work for some people. But there are lots of ways to run the 400m. Not just oneβ¦
i run the 200m in 22s but i dont think it is possible to run the second 200 in 23s
