Improve Sleep
Dr. Berg, when you mention vitamin D, is there a specific kind? And what is the difference between D3 and D?
Thaaaaaaanks.
Hello, Dr.Berg! Thank you for your time and knowledge! I have issues with bloated belly (3 pregnancies) even though i eat lots of veggies ( raw and steamed) and fruits. I am doing more breathing exercises including hypopressive is improving my condition. I am also trying IF on week days. I learned that if you are peri menopause and still having your period I should skip the IF on the week I have my period to make sure I get a good nutrition during this time. Please advise. Thank you!
Make sure you take ONLY CEYLON cinnamon or you can damage your liver!
Ugh… I’m sorry but I stopped listening at 5:43 minutes because you’re promoting starvation as a way to lose weight…. This is fertile grounds for developing an eating disorder. Also, your body does need SOME carbohydrates for hair growth. Without SOME carbs people lose their hair. Maybe take a second look at your recommendations Dr. Berg. There are ways of losing weight that are not this psychologically damaging to people.
I am doing great with low carb / keto, so far I lost 18 kilos in 5 months, still 7 kilos to go.
The most efficient way to lose 12 pounds of ugly fat is chop off your head.
There is one more thing Dr. Berg – TIME and … patience 🙂
I have been running 45km on weekly basis, plus healthy lifestyle for 20 years that means pescatarian.
I think my body is in KETO now i have no fat at the age of 40.
I have problems with it all sleep stress no exercise diet.
Is it super important that all the food is organic/ ekologisk? Its so expensive
I cannot do keto – makes me anxiety and depression come back. I need about 80 grams of carbs a day to feel ok. I have tried to many times, its very frustrating. As soon as I eat more carbs my depression gets better. I think I have low serotonin biological mental health issues and I have read you need carbs to get serotonin in the brain. I am at a healthy weight but want to lose the last 5lbs, I have before through CICO but I gain it back pretty fast due to hunger.
I must say thank you. Back in September I watched a few of your videos and found the motivation to start IF and Keto. Started it up on the 19th and after the first week I upped it to OMAD and clean keto. I'm down 40 pounds and look like I could be in the Army again. More importantly I feel great. Everyday my energy/alertness is tip top and my sleep has greatly improved. I think ill be keeping this up long term as i dont find it difficult at all. When someone asks me how I'm doing I confidently can say "life is good." Again…thank you.
I'm gonna try fasting and change when I take vitamin D and zinc to a night schedule. Thanks Doc!
I’ve been on low carb and sugar for years, and lost huge amounts early. I’ve stabilised despite monthly 90hr fasts at a point where I just have a stubborn 10-15lbs of fat around my love handles and stomach i don’t seem to be able to shift, whatever I do. It’s annoying, as I would like to be lean.
How smoking could affect on losing weight?
Diet and intense exercises ,i will start next year thank you xxx
i honestly think this man is crazy. every solutions cannot be fasting. omg. did he just say do not eat even for 5 days
Keto is number one thing for me. Then, I will do IF 14 hours fasting. I’ll add exercise too.
Hello all. My way to achieve a healthy life is to follow the simple pyramid or triangle rule. Diet, exercise and rest. You cant go wrong if you follow this trifecta rule. Diet as outlined in this video but I give yourself a cheat day. Most importantly I do not eat after 8PM. My excersize is a combination of strength training and cardio. I do upper body weight lifting one day and cycling the next. One of the most amazing ways to burn fat is cycling. Its low impact, uses the biggest muscles in your body ( max energy burn) and its fun! Join a group ride at your local bicycle shop or do it indoors with Zwift. The last but not least is I rest. Give myself a rest day once a week. I also make sure you sleep at least 7 to 8 hours a day. Find a way to track your progress and give yourself high fives for you accomplishments to promote a positive attitude. This goes a along way to keep the ball rolling.
Improve sleep and insulin resistance.
It cracks me up, everytime Dr. Berg makes a joke he's straight faced. We get him though. = : P
I went from 280lbs+ 2-3 years ago to 172lbs, totally ripped to toot my own horn. 177 lbs today because I made the mistake of getting brown sugar malt o meal. I love mixing it with brown sugar oatmeal and eating it uncooked. My secrets are eating 4-5oz of chicken breast and 50-100 cal of simple carbs like oatmeal or a banana every 4 hours and once per day eating 4 eggs with olive oil, as a poor effort to take in enough fat. Plus in the morning I do an intense 90-120 min heavy weight workout and then later either a 60 min ab/core workout or 60 min more of weights. I also get plenty of cardio in. So, eat protein and a small amount of carbs every 4 hours and workout really hard for 2.5-3 hours per day and you are guaranteed to be ripped and thin in no time. I have been eating chicken breast several times per day for 2 years straight, perhaps minus 10-15 days when I was sick or just didn't make a big batch of chicken. I get 10 nice sized chicken breasts, brine them, marinade them and then cook them on the grill. That way I won't have to worry about chicken for 3-4 days. If I could do it again I bet I could go from 280lbs with no muscles to 180lbs and quite muscular within 6 months.
Liver & Gut issues
Doc. I have a question. I do practice intermittent fasting and I ,easure my calories per day using apple watch. My daily calories (spent) are 2000 calories and I eat two meals a day, slmetimes one meal only. But I feel weak while doing my training. I train 1.5 hours a day, 5 days a week. What can I do about it ?
I can't sleep when I do prolong fasting and I'm doing keto..
Hi Doc Berg
Can u take vitamins during the fasting stage ?
ACV, more regular intermittent fasting, and not being so serious/stress reduction.
Thanks, Doc
Eric, you look much stronger and healthier than in your old videos. Is it the meat? Very striking.
how about keto and IF longterm, especially for women? i hear often that it stresses out the adrenals longterm
Hello Dr. Berg you said gut issues would it be hard for someone to lose weight that has a inside hernia near there belly button/stomach area?
I am on Weight Watchers and have lost 20lbs of real fat over 10 weeks. I have 3 meals a day. I still have carbs but am careful and eat highly nutritious foods but stay within my points. It’s been a slow, holistic and a plan I can stick to you everyday with no cravings. I DON’T feel deprived but I am calories deficit without my body ever going into panic mode but its in fat using mode.
Exactly what i need for my last 10pounds weight lost
Consistency need more patience
exercise to get top layer of belly fat off
Can Prediabetics do the prolonged fast if the intermittent fasting has not dropped blood sugars below 70? I am a Type 2 Diabetic who has gone back to prediabetic status with balanced keto and 12 hour intermittent fasting.
