Train to get tough? To have fun?
So true though about weakness. I’m a “legit black belt” and only recently discovered how weak parts of my game are.
The biggest mistake in BJJ is the fear to lose, and that’s the cause of being tough and not evolve to be better, like Roger say. The moment you digest it’s ok being tap, you start developing at 10x. The best guys I ever met were the ones liked to go to other gyms and practice there with new people, tapping, tap others and make friends. To me is already late for this life advice.
Being that I am usually bigger than most training partners, I try to get them whatever position they want to start and then go from there. It has certainly help improve all of my escapes.
And for everyone that missed it, the best way to escape any submission, DON'T GET THERE! It's too late usually or it will be REALLY hard. As Kurt Osiandar says, "You f*cked up a long time ago."
Same you improve in everything, repeat and proceed.
These guys are great!
I love Lex, I love how he doesn’t hold back and speaks his mind
