A little about me:
Sean Daniel is a man. A man of simple needs and desires. And the one desire, no, the one NEED, that stands above all is to spread the challenges, joy and intellectual stimulus of music to people of Earth and beyond.
Born on the mean streets of upper middle class suburban Chicago, Sean learned the ways of the world through the dizzying heights of success to the lonesome depths of failure and emerged with the promise of a better tomorrow reflecting in his eyes and fiery passion in his belly.
He plays and teaches guitar on his YouTube channel where he regularly releases original music and projects to the adulation of legions of fans, who often compare him to Chris Pratt and one time Ryan Reynolds. He’s currently in the market for a nice leather jacket.

Well, it just doesn't sound fast! That's ok, but why does your click-baity thumnail say sounds fast but isn't?
JAMES SCOTT NICHOLSON, ONTARIO, CANADA 🇨🇦 RUSH ARE PROG, CAUSE THEY ARE SO F-N TALENTED
AND YES YOU ARE FOOLING AROUND . THEY ARE A MUSICIANS BAND, YOU NEED TO HEAR THEM, I AM FULL VERSED IN THEORY. LIVE GEDDY LEE ,SINGS PLAYS AND HAS THE FIRST PIANO/ORGAN FOR FOOT USE. THREE INSTRUMENTS AT A TIME. IF YOU APPRECIATE TALENTED MUSIC,YOU WOULD GET IT.
AND ,NO YOU DIDN’T JUST PISS OFF PROGROCKERS, CAUSE I PLAY ANYTHING FROM MICHAEL JACKSON TO METALLICA … YOU JUST PISSED OFF CANADIAN VIEWERS, WHO MORN THE DEATH 💀 OF THE THIRD BEST ROCK DRUMMER IN JOHN BONHAMS TIME, BUT HELD THE TITLE SINCE THE EIGHTIES ,RUSH’S PRIME
LYRICIST WHO WE JUST LOST TO BRAIN CANCER. SEE YA… YOU WANNA SHOOT YOUR MOUTH OFF, WITH
FEEBLE ATTEMPTS AT HUMOR!!! NEXT TIME DO SOME RESEARCH. IF YOU ARE CANADIAN, THERE ARE LOTS OF BETTER SITES TO LEARN FROM….
I don't crossfit…. I'll never be able to do this🤣🤣🤣
You owe it to Alex Leifson to listen to Red Barchetta cranked up.
Fake your friends out by actually playing the guitar. Hey! Wait a minute!
Oh there's my Gretsch, aw no, mine looks exactly the same but just way cooler cause it's got a Bigsby. Really good playing guitars.
I consider myself nowhere near a virtuoso but couldn't help smiling when you started demonstrating hammer on runs as impressive. I've been playing so long now – though I always regret starting late (25) that when I started and learnt hammer ons by listening to records there wasn't even the technical phrase hammer on – it was just the way you did it. The same applied to pull offs and bend release etc. So now I've finally worked out what they mean when they talk about ''old school''. As the word school implies a way of thinking or doing something I was baffled by this as, when I play rock guitar it's the same as the younger guys; now I realize they mean all of us who were turned on by the stuff when it first came out and taught ourselves as there was no other real choice. Nowadays you can probably get a PHD in Soul Music. Brian Jones uses a clever hammer on in the Stones song The Last Time . 🙂
Makes me smile every time. And now I know your trick. Be stupidly funny from being overtired. Thx for the tips.
Hey long time no see!!
Random dumb question, if I ever went to prison and wanted to write you a letter about guitar stuff would you reply? Lol just out of curiosity don’t worry!
Thanks for another great lesson. Appreciated!!
You don't listen to Rush??? A bit weird, but okay . . . 😜
I'm on your side there, Rush is trash!
Sounds like a continuation of your epic "How to fake mad skills" series is in order with "How to fake mad skills in prog rock". Can be combined with that "Secrets of F# key" video, because prog rock, of course.
This dude is clearly out of video ideas
LOL, the 6th fret open D string riff is, more-or-less, the opening riff to "YYZ" by Rush.
The beginning of Iron Maidens "Wasted Years" sounds super fast and impressive but it ist very easy to play
You're not fooling me, Sean, but you ARE impressing me! Pretty darn cool, as usual!
How long are you planning to leave the plastic on that truss rod cover?
I'm just gonna leave this here 😎
Not because I'm hating on your Rush hating (despite being Canadian, I've also not always been a huge Rush fan, though I do appreciate them more, as time goes on) or because I think it sounds like what you were playing with the intervals….. but because it's an insane video/song, for a multitude of reasons, not the least of which being the fact that it seamlessly changes into a totally different song at about the 3:39 mark, just because it can.

my crossfit doesnt my fingers where go to
I hate 2 and 4
Im a 3 5 7 guy
I HATE 2 AND 4
WTF is 2 and 4 good for ?
Nothing
Rush haters UNITE!
…We can take over Canada, eh?
This channel went to crap when Andrea went to Europe.
Can't wait for the lesson on your, very infamous, quadruple hammer-on, that you're giving tomorrow 😉…Thanks Sean.
I learned to shred by learning to play the pentatonic scale in the wrong way, the thing is that I don't really know any theory lol, and one day I was watching a video of Green Day playing the song Paper Lanterns at chicago in 1994, when the solo part came I saw Billie Joe started going up and down on the fretboard like crazy, I thought it was cool so I tried to copy him, since I didn't know how the pentatonic worked (I did hear about it but never got around to learn it) I just started moving my fingers up and down the fretboard playing notes at random, and with time I got used to it and now I play really fast and bendy solos, so I guess the fact that I haven't learned to play the scale well has helped me out at not getting stuck in a mental cage lol
btw I don't think I could really impress that many people since everyone around me likes trap and pop, real music with real instruments is very underrated.
Hooray a new Sean D vid. Your crypto jokes are funny. Stay off the the coin kids
You mention 'grimace musically.'
This video connected some theory dots for me. Well done!
He's got zazz!! 👐
Great tips!! I like that guitar!! I have 5420T Fairlane Blue and love the tones I can get from it.
excellent video
Lots of fun in this one. Super confused at the beginning because at the bottom right there is a mic or something that was blurring the headstock originally. It made it look like you were deliberately trying to hide the make of a guitar you were all excited about.
