I wonder if we can also hypothesise that the reason humans do something is for selfish reasons and not selfless one.. with reference to the social experiment on the nurses, even though it's not part of their job to maintain good hygience and practise to wash their hands but they nevertheless, neglect or reluctant to do so, when they know it's for the betterment of the medical practise, but yet, put up a board that shows how many times they wash their hands so it gives them the 'social reward/incentives'; no ones wants to be left out and also probably have a topic of conversation.. so, even though this experiement showed that human behaviour can be changes, but it also shows how superficial and self-centerdness most of us are, as the primary objective of keeping good hygiene was not a main factor but a board showing everyone in that circle, how 'well' they are doing… just my take on it..
True. Great video.
Fit
Wishing everyone here good health and happiness always 🎉❤🎉❤🎉
So what this means is that the students should have grades posted on the bulletin board for all other students to see. And every person at school or work should have their weight posted on the bulletin board for everyone to see.
She seems like Mel robbins , am i the only one Who Noticed this ??
i disagree though most people take into account the negative information more strongly imo like if 10 people tell you youre attractive but 1 says youre not sometimes we focus on the one persons negative comment

Completely useless
Why is she saving electricity and not her time? She should be aware it's more important than power bill. World literally goes backwards by planning efficiency of small things while wasting time that could produce much more value and cover much more electricity or industrial output to produce cleaner electricity.
short term reward is loosing it's power every time you reward yourself automatically after some time the same reward gives less dopamine. but if you don't reward yourself sometimes you reset this system.
If I were to read 9/10 payed on time my thought would be: sheeps always comply like robots, and I would pay when I would really needed. Why to help state which robs you and represents self-absorbed elite not your interests? It's against common sense but fully inline with conformists and mental servants.
GOOD TOPICS,.THANKS….I WILL WATCH MYSELF RIGHT IN MY NOTES, WHAT I HAVE TO CHANGE.
my take away from this is push yourself by acknowledging yourself ///
Great explanation. I always believed that treating it doesn't work. Encouragement and immediate reward induce change.
4:00 10:00
I don’t get the rage about Ted Talks. They take 20 minutes to tell you something that could be said in 3 or 4 minutes.
❤
Allah help me I can’t live in this mind/body another millisecond
Motivation is needed to get into bed.
Maximum motivation to get out of bed.
Energy, all day but yet none of which is useful. Nothing is completed.
*Anxiety to get things done, knowing that you won't finish it.
*ADHD making for false motivation.
*Depression for not completing anything productive.
*Fear of completion when or if you do get a project 90% complete.

Self Motivated 😁😁
Fear induces inaction, the thrill of the gain induces action!
Trying to become motivation so that i can do 50 judgement cut in a row
If everything we do is for a future that's not promised to us, that future will happen and we will fade into the past, and everything we do in this life of for the next one. It has nothing to do with affect when you have full certainty your efforts are merely seeds for others hope. The video is basically saying stop caring abt urself more than reality, and give to the world so they can repay you with their affection or whatever; vampirism.
Excellent speech 💬

This is wonderful and may also apply to anxiety I have. I find myself not doing things I want to do, but I also have a fear I won't have enough time to do them. I feel overwhelmed. If I look at what I would gain from doing these things (pleasure, accomplishment, etc) instead of thinking I am running out of time, I could be more motivated by the gain than the fear.
Holy neck. I WILL DO ANYTHING SHE SAYS.
Best video ever
lol I get it
@Julia B nice one …lol I had the same feeling
İn my opinion, The presenter points out many significant facts to break our bad habits. But I’m not sure they work well all the time. I think we need to discuss much more things to get a good result so as to alter our bad habits.
I used to manage a telesales team, and each team member have a high KPI per month. As a team leader, I had to send them the result which may be the number of the already buying products of each team member to make sure that they could control their daily KPI and monthly KPI as well. And you know I have always shown all members have bad buying result to warming and I found that way was not useful, That makes other lost motivation. After watching this video, I found out a new way to motivate others. 🙂
So what ro I do with this information? No one is going to put cameras up in my neighborhood showing the 9 out of 10 of the households in my area are overweight so I can jump on board when I see the numbe dropping. How do I adapt this into my life to accomplish my goals?
So very wise and beautiful woman
Hey guys, can anyone provide the actual papers links for the studies they conducted? thx so much 🙂
