Pink Sauce's Chef Pii slipped up BUT so did her Internet critics! Let's investigate🔎👒Download June's Journey for free here: https://woo.ga/noz48v
I'm not really sure what you're debunking here?
The sauce was inconsistent, stored and shipped unsafe in the middle of an intense heatwave.
Nobody believed any of the meme vines, they were just legitimately concerned about kids ordering this stuff for tiktok clout.
And those concerns were completely justified….
I can't lie, pretty disappointing video from a channel I usually dig :/
Already I see people in your comments section saying they want to order and try it now. Hopefully the chef in question, who didn't know what the fda was and tried to dispell the negative attention by pretending she got a home visit and everything was fine has actually gotten her act together and won't be sending them spoiling sauce.
For reference sake, this sauce went through several reformulations. The first couple runs of this product are not what you made.
And that just a sticker label you said is fine wasn't by our laws…
Kind of feels like you just did a cursory googling, saw the latest dated videos cashing in on all of this and decided to also cash in tbh. Guess it's not surprising given the sponsor tho.
Anyone living in the Pacific Northwest part of the US knows that this is NOT Pink Sauce (aka Fry Sauce).
hadn't heard anything about this product before now. guess i'm one of the lucky ones
Honestly this seems like a biased video with the 'unprofessional' tag just added to make it seem like it was from an unbiased point of view, didn't even talk about the most controversial statement about how she doesn't need to get her product FDA approved because she wasn't making drugs
That tiktoker just seem uneducated
i feel enlightened💖. thank you
This lady is so intelligent and professional ❤❤
Im sure Anne did this but I really don’t think Chef P did any research. I really think she was just dumb enough to use store bought ranch or Mayo and add the dragon fruit.
Thank you for your objective and informative video concerning this. It is refreshing to see someone actually research and provide an assessment that isn't just click bait.
The dragon fruit powder fading after a few days might explain why it wasn’t always bright hot pink when people received it before she changed the recipe to keep it that bright hot pink color
The sauce on fried chicken made me drool. That looks so good ngl
best video of the week. thank you
I don't even like the color of this sauce let alone put it in my mouth
Le-ci-thin
wonderful video.
We will never escape the Game Theory guy
I understand what she meant by “you’re not special.” She probably gets contacted by hundreds or maybe thousands of people. She should’ve sought out conversation with this one person? She has a business to run. She can’t address every concern out there.
Ann Reardon is once again the voice of reason. Thank you <3
I don't understand why it did go viral in the first place. You just add a little bit of beetroot juice in the mayonnaise and tadaa pink sauce is ready
This is why i love your videos! Its so detailed in explanation
i had never heard about any of this (and as ever anytime i hear about anything happening on tiktok i'm grateful i'm not on there lol) but damn tiktokers and youtubers like the theorists really are just fully willing to say whatever the hell they want to millions of people without applying any amount of research or common sense or anything huh
personally i probably wouldn't have gone out of my way to buy a sauce some influencer was making and bottling seemingly directly out of their kitchen, it does feel a bit sketch especially with the labeling that makes it seem like they probably just created the nutrition fact numbers themselves and didn't have any kind of actual testing or expert consultation done. but for other influencers to be like "there's no POSSIBLE way a product containing oil and water as its first two ingredients could be made thick and opaque without adding mayonnaise! (i do not understand what mayonnaise/dressings/sauces fundamentally are and am proud of this fact)", or look at one single sentence about botulism and disregard half of that one sentence, it literally mentions acid right there in your google summary, and from that just completely fabricate claims about people getting sick or dying or fake their own death over this goddamn pink ranch dressing… it just leaves me completely bewildered. like, something has just gone completely, terribly, unbelievably wrong if the systems that underlie online content creation incentivize and reward this kind of deranged behavior. i really do worry about how many kids and teens are on tiktok and Influencer Youtube receiving a constant flow of completely unchecked disinformation
Beets can make that pink colour. My mom accidentally made a whitesaus pink by adding beets. Her saus was fairly similar to the colour and tone of Pink Saus
lol not sure if it's true but i'm pretty sure ann reardon watched the video on my channel since I'm fairly sure it's the only way to watch it xD.
I think the biggest issues and concerns was how the product was handled and shipped during the hottest time of the year, That is what can make a huge difference in otherwise safe product even if it requires refrigeration (assuming the claims that is smelled rancid was true. I am no expert in this area; but one bottle someone showed did seem to have exploded while in the mail). Pii just made the situation worse with how unprofessionally she acted and treated others instead of just learning from that experience. Just don't rush things and own up to mistakes, this could of helped her a lot.
If those are prototypes of the professional company sauce, it's kinda sad how not-pink it is (the hot-pink label doesn't count). I'm going to guess the color fades too fast, which means they'd have to put in artificial food coloring. 'Course, there's also a thing called Thousand Island Dressing so I'm gonna guess this sauce collab is gonna try to sell the stuff off the memes and hype, versus a long-standing product. But hey, who knows, maybe in 20 years "pink sauce" as per her mass-market recipe will be a household name right next to ketchup and mustard.
Or it'll sell about as well as Crystal Pepsi did back in the day. XD
I think a lot of peoples’ main issue w/ the sauce was her claim of using raw honey (which is why most people were concerned about botulism), and the fact that milk is clearly stated in the label of a product that was not refrigerated, shipped refrigerated, or had any instructions to refrigerate it. Is it possible that she didn’t use mayo as an emulsifier, yes. But the recipe 100% contained dairy. Not refrigerating it is the biggest food safety issue. There were no confirmed reports of people becoming sick from the sauce, sure. But there were COUNTLESS reports of it being rotten upon arrival. I do wish Ann had addressed these a little more in depth
WAAAIIITTT! In USA I can just make and mass produce some food and sell it without needs of approval nor tests etc?
NICE!
this looks like angry people on the internet making misinformation about a black, female entrepreneur for clicks. anger about these exploiters is not unprofessional. i hope she makes a lot of money from the outrage media.
Gracious as always Ann!
Lol take that you who say it's not possible, you just afraid of doing some experiment and say it not possible 😂
Man pretends to die from Pink Sauce, then turns around and says "it wasn't my intent to make your business look bad". Excuse me??
I am surprised you didn't talk about the clip of Pii saying she isn't selling drugs so she doesn't know what the FDA is
BLUE SAUCE is a better value, and honestly it just tastes better.
I just paused to ask something, apologies if it gets mentioned after. In italy in order to handle food for sale you must have a food safety certification, in order to get the certification you must attend classes…and if I am not mistaken you need to refresh that certification with classes every two years. How about Canada and the US?
I think Chef P just sucks as a person. But I also think the internet went a little stupid with this.
What is it made of?
question is whether she used the dragon fruit powder, or blended dragon fruit. also, aren't all food products supposed to be FDA approved?
Could you please do a video baking and explaining all the differences between the different types of sponge cake. I'm making a chiffon Ube cake for my son's birthday on January 1st and I never realized how many different types of sponge cakes existed until I was trying to find a good recipe for his cake.
Great video!
I wonder if this will inspire update videos from those who jumped on the bandwagon and made errors. No judgment it happens @foodtheory, @swellentertainment
Considering her actions throughout all of this stuff, including the lying and gaslighting and the refusal to take accountability I really wouldn't trust her with this product at all. The fact that she was actively hostile to quite a lot of people who criticized the product, regardless of how valid the criticism was, and that she pulled one of the nicer reviewers onto a show seemingly based on skin color to try to use that to gaslight her just makes me not trust her in selling a product. The proverbial well has been poisoned.
I always figured she just dyed cheap ranch dressing. I'd be afraid to consume something that may have been made in her kitchen.
