i feel proud that i picked out the coco ice cream- itâs the only one that didnât have the greenish bits on it⌠i donât think itâs the most reliable method though lol. In any case, vegetable oil is nothing to get overly concerned with lol.
1:10 thats actually an important reminder for vegans/otherwise dairy free. just cause itâs a âfrozen desertâ doesnât mean itâs free of milk products. I have actually made that mistake before as i was accustomed to vegan ice creams labelling themselves as such. If it doesnât advertise itself as dairy free, check the ingredients- and if it does say dairy free, but not vegan and you are concerned with that, check.
Please don't advertise kamikoto, they're a scam.
I love your explanations! â¤ď¸ A compliment coming from a scientist đ
Talk about misleading, Annâs show advertises Japanese knives made in China. These knives are made from the lowest quality of steel. Come on, Ann. Research your sponsors.
Kamikoto knives are not made from
Japanese steel. Theyâre made in china from low quality steel
Her videos make me realised science class was useless…this is where the actual school is at
Iâm highly disappointed in your using of kamikoto as a sponsor for your videos Ann. I would have thought you of all people I know would never has advertised their products. Itâs such a shame, because you had the perfect platform to market high quality amazing products that actually work and now thatâs completely ruined, I canât ever believe any recommendations you make now. I canât believe you spent all your hard earned reputation from countless debunking videos on a quick buck. I know this sounds completely dramatic but I feel like Iâve had a relationship just yanked out from underneath me. How can I ever trust you again when youâve participated in the exact thing that you fight against. I have many more words Iâd like to say but why bother, the damage is done. Bye Ann, your videos were a bright spot in my life.
Kamikoto knives are a scam… I can't believe you're here debunking misinformation, yet have fallen for Kamikoto's own dishonest marketing enough to let them sponsor you. They are misrepresented, junk knives – being sold at a premium price based on their own misrepresentation about what they are. If you look into the steel they actually use, and not just assume their generic claim of "superior Japanese steel" is genuine – that alone debunks them as a scam. The steel they use is literally the lowest grade available, worldwide, for the purpose; tied with a Chinese counterpart(on paper – in real world tests, the Chinese counterpart seems to actually hold up slightly better). These steel grades are literally what is used for pound/dollar store knives, because it's such an inexpensive, low grade, low quality steel.
And that's without even going into other major misrepresentations that they use, to sell their drastically overpriced garbage product.
I'm disappointed that you do what you do, yet are sponsored by this complete scam, seemingly right under your nose. Do better, or you're no better than what/who you debunk.
PS: Look into the parent company – a company known for scam, misrepresented, and complete fail products. A company riddled with lawsuits related to exactly those issues.
And no, I didn't need to watch YouTube videos calling them out – I've been a chef for more than 20 years, and am a hobby knife-maker(with a father who spent 60 years in metallurgical fields). They use the same tactics as other scam knife companies, such as Cutco/Vector. Investigations by others simply confirmed what was already obvious to anyone with any related experience/knowledge.
I do like the debunking. But then going with a somewhat dubious sponsor really makes me wonder at the mixed messaging.
Hi Ann! I just wanted to reply about the kamikoto knives. They are pretty deceptive in their advertising and they are really quite cheap steel. They also come from the parent company that does the "established titles" scam.
A video I watched in it also showed their shady dealings with incorrect contact info showing a hotel instead of a business, and a knife actually made in Japan that is impossible to buy. There is also hints that it is paying for positive user reviews
kamikoto knifes? now you are spredding misinfornamtion. at least take sponsor (the link) out of the decribtion of your video…
Ann, please address the kamikoto knife scam, we know you wouldnât recommend this on purpose đđŠ
Kamikoto is owned by a serial scam artist. Don't take their money and certainly don't give them your money either.
Ice cream may not glow in the dark, but peanut butter does!
too bad the sponsor is a scam…
The part about the pans being lighter or darker is actually somewhat based on reality; but it's not how the video's author thought.
Dark colors are better at containing heat because it absorbs wavelengths of *light*. That's the defining factor; light, it essentially turns light into heat. This can not be applied to an oven, because ovens utilize air to transfer heat, not light, so this is a case of "dumbed down" science being taken too literally.
9:48 am I the only one who felt my hot radiator?
@HowToCookThat STOP SUPPORTING THAT SCAM COMPANY!!!! Kamikoto is a SCAM COMPANY taking millions from people!!
KAMIKOTO KNIVES ARE A SCAM!!!! They are NOT made in Japan or from Japanese processes. The company has been PROVEN to be a scam company..!!
Kamikoto Knives are a scam Anne, theyre owned by the same company that owned Established Titles, and Kamikoto Knives are made from the worst Stainless Steel available 420j2 steel, its closer to Iron than steel really, and are only marketed to the English Spearking World to profit off ignorance. Shadiversity has an hour long video exposing Kamikoto Knives, Kamikoto are cheap chinese knives that are outperformed by ur 20 dollar run of the mill grocery store knife, just watch the video and drop the sponsor if you want me and many others to trust in you.
Huh, did not know that's why metal feels colder
Hi kamikoto knifes is a scam it's actually from the same guys that made establishedtitels. Love your vids đđ
Henlo Ann, I love your videos and all but I feel to need to bring something to you attention
Please do not take sponsorship from Kamikoto. They are part of a scam company residing in Hong Kong, China. The company offers sponsorships with falsely advertising "japanese master chef level kitchen knives" which they aren't. The same company is the one that is responsible for the Established Titles scam that has become very popular.
Please be careful with those sponsors.
Here to feed the algorithm đ
Disappointed a bit , kamikoto knives are a chinese scam…
You can even watch a detailed video of a fellow Australian "Shadiversity" about that.
I am a heat transfer professor and I think that although what you said about the heat capacity of different materials is true, because the oven works at a much higher temperature, and if assuming that the oven do not have a fan, radiation is more important than convection or conduction combined and the colour (as well as the surface finish, shiny vs matte) of the vessel would have a large effect. Happy to discuss this further.
Ann, Kamikoto is a scam! Please do not promote them đ
"the cotton candy is a lie
the cotton candy is a lie
the cotton candy is a lie"
You do know your sponsor is a scam, don't you??
i was watching this video and i thought what why did dave become young
Ann, you know you've made it when 5-minute Crafts tries to copy one of your video formats. I love your content and I lowkey wanna see a Bill Nye collab. You remind me as an adult of what Bill Nye felt like to watch as a kid. <3
Did you get any copper ? I'm glad you have made this video because most people don't realize that certain materials will effect the quality of their food
So…. Just learned today that aluminum is pronounced very differently in Australia than in the US. đ
I loved your son acting as a piece of metal
Omg kamikotoooooooo nooooo âŚ. Whyyyyyy ?
I am interested if one can detect real EVOO with a black light?
I really love your videos, but you should drop Kamikoto knives as sponsor: They are anything but "quality knives" and obscenely overpriced for knives made out of cheap 420j2 steel (_the_ cheapest steel actually).
@Shadiversity made a very good video about this called "Are KAMIKOTO knives a SCAM?".
Iâm very disappointed. I donât normally fall for scams, but I trusted Annâs integrity, so because of this trust, I recently purchased the Kamikoto knives for my husband that she advertised in this video. Iâve since discovered that far from being some of the best Japanese knives, like Ann claims them to be, they are in fact Chinese steel of very low qualityâwhich would be fine if they were sold as budget knives. But, theyâre sold as premium knives at a premium price. So, the irony of Ann doing videos to debunk bad advice from other content creators, while putting out questionable content of her own, is not lost on me.
id be careful of kamikoto , very expensive knives that are made from really cheap 420j2 steel… compared to other knives that are cheaper they dont even last long at all
Kamikoto is a scam , donât fall for it
Yeah! Take me for instance, I don't buy pans based on if they're light or dark, I only buy them based on important things! … Like whether or not they come in pink.
Hey! You might want to look into Kamikoto knives a bit before taking anymore sponsorships from them. I hear theyâre kind of shady and are being looked into in relation to the whole Established Titles scam. I donât know much about it, but I still recommend looking into it just in case!
It is interesting to think that no government can control what they post, its hard to control. But in China, videos like these get taken down very quickly
