How is your sense of self-worth currently? and what are you doing to cultivate self-worth?
your wisdom and perspective is my daily pill to keep me sane in this chaotic crazy wild society
This is so helpful… I can't stop crying because I have been feeling worthless and depressed, Thank you for your words. I really need it badly.
I have never heard this subject discussed in such a kind but impactful manner. Kudos to you for developing yourself so skillfully and with such grace to be able to provide meaningful teachings to the rest of us!
Thank you
Thank you for your ongoing wonderful teaching Ven. Nick ❤
One of the biggest lessons I have learned in DBT therapy, is that a life worth living is built on living according to our own values (not the values or morals of others).
As we allow our own values to guide our actions, we will inevitably live a fulfilling life.
As we accumulate successes based on listening to and fulfilling our values, we build self-confidence and self-esteem.
In this light, it is impossible to compare yourself to others because each of us have different values (or put difference importance on those values). Our values are part of us from birth, and are uniquely ours.
Note: the actions we take based on our values need to be effective in the long term.. so based on wisdom. You accumulate this wisdom through practicing mindfulness and building skillfulness.
Ven. Nick, thanks for the videos. A thought … If you're going to address self worth, what about outlining the whole self talk thing. More psychology than Buddhism perhaps, but a good approach.
🙏
True self worth is really good.

When you have integrity, nothing else matters.
When you don’t have integrity, nothing else matters.
Ven Nick, Thank you so much for your beautiful reminders. We need to stop comparing ourselves to others. Your teaching is so real and awesome.
Thank you 😊
Thanks for spiritual food again. Help us a lot in our self training. Keeping us reminded to sustain our practice even more. Never been this before in my entire life to give effort for change.
Thank you for you kind and wise words. I enjoy your videos very much. Without personally knowing you, you have become someone important in my walk through this world.
Venerable Nick Thank you!!!
Thank you!🙏🏻
The internet and social media has caused mental illness in many. It's a terrible travesty.
It is said that, "Patience is a virtue". Something I really lack. I acknowledge it and have been and will continue to work on it. Thank you Brother Nick. 🙏😌
Thanks for this video. I didn’t even know I needed it, but now realize it was very needed. Glad I found it. 🙏😊🌻
Thank you for sharing brother Nick 😊
I laughed and cried at the same time. I already do a lot of most of the things you listed. It touched me so much because I told my therapist last week that I have regained more confidence. But it feels different than my self-confidence from other times.
Sometimes I feel alone with it so it was really nice to hear it again from someone else <3
I am very much satisfied with your explanations. I have intense desire to come to spiritual retreat in Thailand. 😊😍😍.May my wish come true Nick🙇🙏

Kindness, compassion and patience towards ourselves can be far more difficult to cultivate than towards others, when it is just as important, if not more so.
As you mentioned, Pra Ajarn, comparing ourselves with others is mentally and spiritually unhealthy. I have come to compassionately compare myself NOW to myself in the past and never address myself negatively, but rather with patience and understanding.
Thank you and satuu🙏🙏🙏
Yes I'm glad to listen to you it doesn't seem to long you give me so much inspiration and guidance.Thank you❤
Anf famous people enjoyed the prosses and not hate it .
Your suffering come from your attachment and desire to be something. Because you are afraid of death and bieng forgotten. But if you let it go you realise it dosent matter so quit doing.
