Let’s unpack some of America’s most popular myths while I make early American cocktails. Our founding fathers sure knew how to have a good time.

Just made rattle skull for myself. A bit weird at first……but I gave it 5 minutes to sit and didn't have nutmeg. Used cinnamon. DAYYUM it's good! 5 mins later. 5/5. So good.
You should look up the real meaning behind “blood is thicker than water” if you like these kinds of misinterpreted quotes/sayings
the real name of Johnny Appleseed is John Chapman.
Can we get some respect for Greg for actually going into King Phillip's war, one of the most important and overlook conflicts in North American history? You and Atun-shei films are the only youtubers I’ve ever heard mention it.
The founding fathers were drunk, teen's and twenties mostly. The war for independence was actually started when the red coats started trying to confiscate the colonies weapons. 2A backs up the 1st and the current taxation is pure theft. Previous to the 16th amendment, the most the the average citizen would deal with the federal government was the post office. I brought this point up on NPR when they had an IRS agent on and he threatened me with jail time.
Let me lay it on the line, he had two on the vine
England did not outlaw slavery in its territories and colonies until much after the Civil War, only England proper
all time classic episode
Re: your point about "cider". I've seen many recipes for hot buttered rum say you can substitute hot cider for hot water. I used martinelli's and it tasted great, but I wonder now if those recipes referred to the hard variety.
No one talking about the AMZING BradNeely reference?!?! Always love the weird youtube cross-overs that you don't expect, AND a fun history lesson to boot
Collecting fractions of a cent from Google commercials: Good. America:Bad.
I remember heading to Colonial Williamsburg, and Josiah Chowning's Tavern had drinks the folks back in the day would throw back. ZOMG their "rummer" drink was deceptively strong.
Oh how I've missed drunken history Greg. These are my favourite episodes by far.
fam that george washington callback was exquisite
HTD Masterpiece here. Literally all of my favorite things in one epi: history, phenomenal recipes, and drunk Greg. What more could you ask for?
CHIMAY! BELGIAN BEER! FINALLY GET IN! I've been waiting forever for Greg to try Belgian Trappist beer!
Atun-shei films does a lot of great videos on King Phillip's war for anyone who's interested. I love history and mixology, so this video is perfect for me!
Thank you for the history in which I will now quote brashly and gaslight others for not knowing. Is this recorded in your home or does someone drive you home? 😂
That was a great episode. (Being from Toronto, I was especially surprised to see Ethan Allen stores in the advert located in Mississauga, Pickering and Thornhill!)
William Penn!!!! Willy P!!!!! how could you!!!!!! ive been lied too!!! even in philly suburban education system do they not tell us that wtf
A few years ago I started adding a shot of Bourbon to my Austin Eastciders Blood Orange Cider. I thought it was an original idea… LOL. I guess not… It is dangerously delicious!!! I'm loving the channel man! Keep it up!
Is the fish house punch part of the reason we call party-sized tiki drinks fishbowls?
ahh, washington song!!! Washington washington six foot 8 weighs a fucking ton!!
I love this 😂. I love history so much, so it feels like watching a better version of drunk history
Really liked this episode! I’d love more like it!
Ugh you realize you’re turning off half the alcoholics here just by the title Greg sure whatever you can afford it 🙄 Sone of us just want a hot take thanksgiving cocktail just hide the assault on America a little bit plz and I’ll have my whole staff watch this agains
a Stone Fence honestly just seems like me drinking vodka and soder.
The Fish House bunch looks interesting, but you never specified as to what type of tea are you using. Is is green tea or black tea?
Love your videos, I’ve learned lots!
Say do you know of any good drinks that you can have made by airlines with what they typically have? Merry Christmas!
Johnny Appleseed went around planting orchards of apples in order to secure farming land grants for himself.
Vodka and Apple Cider is pretty good too fwiw
Greg is only a few steps away from accidentally re-inventing Drunk History and I am here for it
Hey Greg I don't remember wich video it was on but you recently did an established titles sponsor. It's a scam, I know you wouldn't advertise us a scam on purpose. Just be aware
